Our much discussed, much saved for and much anticipated whole house rehab finally got underway on November !! 

Here's what's going down:
new garage
blowing out the wall between the kitchen and dining room
remove kitchen 1/2 bath
kitchen refresh with new appliances and an island
small addition off the dining room with an entrance, mudroom and 1/2 bath
covered patio
shift the wall between the girls' rooms
create closets for girls
covert existing 2nd floor bath to a girls' bath
cannibalize part of master bedroom to frame in a master bath
take 3rd floor down to studs, insulate, reframe and new HVAC
new wood floors throughout
fix pocket doors
redo living room mantle

WHEW!

To make this happen we had to entirely move out of the house and rent a house across the street. Sounds great, but moving a whole house is still moving a whole house. It took a LOT of scrubbing and futzing, but I think we're finally comfy enough to last 6 months there.
